23.5.1.1 Castle Commands

The following are commands used for interacting with Castles, aka player housing. See HELP CASTLES for more information about buying a new house. If you have requests not found on this list, you can send an email to razmael@aetolia.com.

CITY HOUSE COMMANDS
-------------------
Houses within a city act slightly different to houses outside of one, in that they do not have a physical connection/door that you walk through. Instead, one must ENTER HOUSE from the location the house is built.

HOUSE LIST
- List both your owned houses, and houses you have been allowed access to.

ENTER HOUSE
ENTER HOUSE OF <person>
- Enter either your own house or the specified person's house if you're at its entrance.

ENTER CITY
- If you're inside a city house and at its entrance, you can leave back to the city.

HOUSE UNLOCK
- Unlocks your city house, granting access for anybody to ENTER.

HOUSE LOCK
- Locks your city house again, denying public entrance.

HOUSE ALLOW <person>
- Grant a specific person access to enter your locked house.

HOUSE DISALLOW <person>
- Revoke someone's previously granted access.

HOUSE ALLOWED
- Check the names of those you have upon your allowed list.

HOUSE FRONT SUBMIT <message>
- Submit a single sentence description of the house as seen in LOOK at the end of the room's Verbose description, where you would ENTER HOUSE.
Example: A townhouse with flowerboxes in the windows sits on the east side of the lane.

BUILDING ROOMCREDITS
- See how many you have, used for building a room in a player house.

BUILDING ROOMCREDITS BUY <#>
- Purchase room credits with stone in a 2:1 ratio.

BUILDING BUILD ROOM <dir>
- 50/75/100 roomcredits
- Build a new room in that direction. The cost depends on where your castle is located.

Note: Player houses may not have rooms demolished.

BUILDING BUILD EXIT <dir> TO <room god name>
- 10,000 gold
- Build a exit in the direction indicated to the room indicated. Exits
  can only be built to rooms that are part of your house.

BUILDING DEMOLISH EXIT <dir>
- Destroys the exit in the indicated direction. Free.

BUILDING HIDE EXIT <dir>
- 10,000 gold
- Hide the exit in the direction listed.

BUILDING REVEAL EXIT <dir>
- Reveal a hidden exit in the direction listed. Free.

BUILDING INSIDE         
- 10,000 gold
- Set the room inside. 

BUILDING OUTSIDE
- 10,000 gold
- Set the room outside. 

BUILDING FELT TEMPERATURE <fahrenheit>
- 10,000 gold
- This alters the temperature felt by players in the room. 

BUILDING ENVIRONMENT <environment>
- 4/6/8 credits
- Set the environment for the room you are in. You can see a list of
  available environments by using BUILDING ENVIRONMENT. 

BUILDING RENAME ROOM <text>
- 5,000 gold after the first change, which is free.
- Set the brief description for the room you are in. A period will
  be automatically appended to the name you choose.

BUILDING REDESCRIBE ROOM <text>
- 10,000 gold after the first change, which is free.
- Set the verbose description for the room you are in. 

BUILDING BUILD DOOR <dir> [type]
- 1,000 gold
- Add a door in the specified direction.
- If you'd like to choose the material of the door, you can pick from:
  pine, oak, walnut, iron, stone, steel, metal, bronze, or mahogany.

BUILDING REMOVE DOOR <dir>
- Remove a door in the specified direction. Free.

BUILDING ADD LOCK <dir>
- 1,000 gold
- Add a lock to a door in the specified direction. 

BUILDING REMOVE LOCK <dir>
- Remove a lock from the door in the specified direction. Free.

BUILDING ADD KNOCKER <dir>
- 1,000 gold
- Add a knocker to a door in the specified direction. 

BUILDING REMOVE KNOCKER <dir>
- Remove a knocker from the door in the specified direction. Free.

BUILDING LOCKWORK <key> <direction>
- 1,000 gold
- Add a lock to the key in the specified direction. 

ROOM SETTINGS
-------------

BUILDING SET <feature>
This command will turn on several different features for the room.
 
- Concealed: 200/300/400 credits
  Conceals the location of your room from WHO and prevents others
  from sensing your location with abilities.
    
- Slaughterhouse: 100/150/200 credits
  Use the BUTCHER command in it.
  
- Private: 200/300/400 credits
  This will prevent many forms of spying abilities. Please note that says 
  and other room wide forms of communication are never private.
   
- Stable: 200/300/400 credits
  This room will act as a personal stable and can be used to house 
  any mounts you may own. 
  
- Willpower: 250/375/500 credits
  Add willpower regeneration equivalent to level 2 racial regeneration.
  Is cumulative on top of racial and other regeneration. For houses it
  works for you and those on your allies list. 
  
- Endurance: 250/375/500 credits
  Add endurance regeneration equivalent to level 2 racial regeneration.
  Is cumulative on top of racial and other regeneration. For houses it
  works for you and those on your allies list. 
  
- Health: 250/375/500 credits
  Gives you the equivalent of racial level 2 health regeneration. It is
  cumulative with any other types of regeneration. For houses it works
  for you and those on your allies list. 
  
- Mana: 250/375/500 credits
  Gives you the equivalent of racial level 2 mana regeneration. It is
  cumulative with any other types of regeneration. For houses it works
  for you and those on your allies list. 
  
- SolidRock: 50/75/100 credits
  Makes a room solidrock, such that no one burrow into that room or
  past it.
  
- Preservation: 500/750/1000 credits
  A preservation room that can be used by those with the Venom
  skillset.

- Enchantment: 500/750/1000 credits
  A enchantment room that can be used by those with the Enchantment
  skillset.

- FightPit: 200/300/400 credits
  Sets a room as a fighting pit. While within the fighting pit, you
  cannot die to others with you.

- Library: 100/150/200 credits
  Makes a room into a library.

- Darkness: 50/75/100 credits
  Enshrouds the room in magical darkness.

- Light: 50/75/100 credits
  Engulfs the room in dazzling magical light.

Note: Apothecary and Herbalism rooms are unavailable in player housing.

ROOM ADDITIONS
--------------

BUILDING MAKE <feature>
This command will make a feature within the room. Once made, these features cannot be removed without Divine help. Buying these in a player house allows them to be customised for free.

- Forge: 200/300/400 credits
  Adds a forge to the room for those with the Forging skillset.

- Telescope: 50/75/100 credits
  Get a closer look at the constellations in the night sky!

- Oven: 50/75/100 credits
  An oven, for those with the Cooking skill.

- Chessboard: 50/75/100 credits
  Play the game of Kings in your very own home!

- Chest: 250/375/500 credits
  A special treasure chest that will prevent 100 items from decaying and
  comes with a lock and key. 

- Flowerbox: 250/375/500 credits
  Grow up to 6 flowers at once in a flowerbox. 

ROOM FEATURES

These are features that will need to be handled via submitting an ISSUE.

- Custom entrance: 150/225/300 credits
  A custom entrance for your building. Note, the price quoted may be
  higher depending on specifics requested.

- Bar: 200/300/400 credits
  Means it will sell drinks. You do not get the proceeds, however. You
  get 5 drinks that can be sold with this. They must be pre-existing
  drink types.

- Restaurant: 200/300/400 credits
  Means it will sell up to 5 existing types of food. You don't get the
  proceeds.

- Room echoes: 50/75/100 credits
  Periodically show lines of text to people in the room. The price is
  for one room and you can have 3 different, random echoes.
  
- Fruit Tree: 100/150/200 credits
  Has fruits that periodically reset into it and can be eaten or used
  in recipes. Must be an existing fruit.

- Object feature: 50/75/100 credits each
  This can be anything from a portrait on the wall to a potted plant.
  Basically any inert object that is distinct from the room description
  and can be examined more closely for additional detail. Such things 
  add character and flavour to rooms.
