22.1.1 Paperless Crafting System

The paperless crafting system is how tradeskills are facilitated in Aetolia. Typing DESIGN by itself will give you a large list of helpful commands, however a basic guide is listed below.

Obtaining a design
------------------
To obtain a new design, you need to go to your local craft office.

- DESIGN REQUEST
Costs 300g, will produce a new blank design (DESIGN12345)

- DESIGN (12345) COPY (base design)
To create a working version of a blank design, you first need to tell it what kind of item you're trying to make. You need to go to the appropriate crafting annex, or an existing design of yours, and copy that onto the blank with the above syntax. PATH TRACK CRAFTS will take you to the local hub in your city, or you can find the central shops in Esterport.

- DESIGN (12345) SUBMIT
Once you are happy with your design and have added the necessary additional commodities, you then submit it to the crafting queue. Mortal approvers and Becue, the head of crafting, comb over the queue periodically and will then either give you feedback on what needs to be fixed, or approve it completely so you can get to creating it!

Creating a design
-----------------

- CRAFT <design>
Once your design has been approved and paid for, you are then free to create it.

- DESIGN <#> DELETE
You can delete a design if you decide you don't want a design anymore.

Listing designs
---------------
- DESIGN LIST [UNPAID|DRAFT|APPROVED|SUBMITTED|REJECTED|EXPIRED] [<skill>|<item>|<tag>]
The command DESIGN LIST will show you designs that you own. The colouring will denote which trade skill the design belongs to. You can filter this list by the design's status or by tradeskill, the item, or the design's tags.

- DESIGN LIST <CITY|GUILD|ORDER|CLAN <clan name>> [<skill>|<item>|<tag>]
You can see designs owned by your organizations you are a part of, and apply the item filters.

- DESIGN LIST ACCESS <CITY|GUILD|ORDER|CLAN <clan name>> [<skill>|<item>|<tag>]
You can also see designs that other individual crafters have made accessible to organizations you are part of.

- DESIGN LIST ACCESS PUBLIC
Finally, you can see a list of designs that crafters have made available to all - however using one of these designs will incur a fee of 25 gold sovereigns to the designer.

- DESIGN <#> TAG <term>
You can add custom sorting tags to designs, for example "design 1234 tag summeroutfit1" to group all items together, or tag for specific components you want to easily find.
NOTE: tags must be lowercase. DESIGN LIST <tag> will not work if your tag has capital letters.

Transferring a design
---------------------
- DESIGN <#> TRANSFER TO <person|organization>
You can give your design to someone else, but please note that you will lose any power over this design once you have transferred it. Also, you can only transfer a design to a person that has the tradeskill needed to use that design.

- DESIGN <#> ALLOW <person|organization|PUBLIC|NONE>
You can also retain ownership of your design but simply allow someone else - or even the public - to use it. You can specify NONE to reset all persons/organisations you've allowed to use your design and make it exclusive to you again.

If you grant access to the general public, anyone who uses those designs will net you a 25 gold sovereign royalty fee. All fees will be paid in a lump sum to you every Aetolian week.

- DESIGN <#> DENY <person|organization|NONE>.
If you wish to specifically deny a person or organisation from using your design, you can do so via this command. You can specify NONE to clear this blacklist.

Design renewal
--------------
The Crafting guild will charge you periodically for the cost of maintaining your designs. As soon as you request a new design, you will have 150 Aetolian weeks before you will need to pay the fee to renew the design again. If you let a design expire, you will be unable to use it until you pay the renewal fee. Designs that remain expired for 30 weeks will be deleted.

- DESIGN <#> RENEW
- DESIGN RENEW ALL
You can renew a specific design, or all your eligible designs at once.

- DESIGN LIST EXPIRED
You can also see a list of all your designs that have expired.

- DESIGN <#> AUTOPAY <ON|OFF>
You may set designs that you own to auto-deduct funds from your bank account if you choose. Designs that belong to an organization may be set to autopay by the leader of that organization.

Design permanence
-----------------
- DESIGN <#> PERMANENCE <ON|OFF>
Crafters who are transcendent in a craft skill may set 10 designs in that craft skill permanent. Crafters who own an artifact workbook may set up to 50 extra designs to permanent spread across all of their craft skills. This is cumulative with the 10 gained by transcending a craft skill.

Miscellaneous commands
----------------------
- DESIGN <#> FULL
Once a design is fully approved, comments are hidden from view automatically. Using this command will show all comments.

- DESIGN <#> SHOW <person>
Show a design to someone else standing in your room,. Useful if you are working on a commission.
