23.5.3 Cryptic Chests

A Cryptic Chest contains randoms prizes ranging from highly valued artifacts and unique relics to promotional consumable items and compendium pages.

When you BREAK the chest, you will receive one or more of the following main prizes:

- Credit prizes ranging from 15 - 250.

- Various artifacts valued between 50 and 2000 credits.

- Chocolate bags, elemental globes, fireworks, customisation certificates, iron coins, morphic metal, ambience tokens, and a low chance at salvage.

- Style scrolls available include blazing, cowardly, airborne, and gambler. There is a chance at receiving a style point to spend at the shop too!

- Minipets from a selection of: a fluffy gosling, a writhing amphisbaena, a spiky echidna puggle, a skeletal puppy, a soggy kelpie foal, and a winged tengu.

- Compendium pages for: Skythrone, the Isle of Ollin, the Teshen Caldera, the Forgotten Mausoleum, Mannaseh Swamp and the Bakal Chasm.

- Relic coffers containing pieces for the planar relics (RELIC LIST PLANAR FULL). Each planar relic piece trades in for 30 credits. 

In addition to these, you will always receive a filler prize (grimstim pills, omnipotence pills, herbal jars, and so forth). These do not count towards your chest's value.

The available items change every now and then. Check the Announce newsboard to see if a recent promotion is offering these chests and if the items may be different!

Boon Fireworks

These fireworks may be fired like a normal bomb, WIELD the firework and THROW FIREWORK AT GROUND. After doing so a 50% experience buff will be given for an hour to a group based on the firework type. These items decay, but you can save them up and chain them together for group events! The types only stack with themselves, so 2x guild and 2x city will only give two hours overall if done at once.

Guild  - an emblazoned firework
City   - a patriotic firework display
Spirit - a "Katshkele's Glory" firework display
Shadow - a "Catiana Wheel" firework display
Game   - an "Ere's Unsupervised Explosive Extravaganza" firework display

These fireworks trade in for 5, 10, 20, and 40 credits, respectively via the PROMO TRADEIN command.

You may also, temporarily, use the PROMOFIREWORKS command. This will enable you to trade 3 guild fireworks for a city, two city for a tether, or two tether for a game. This way you can collect fireworks and work together  to increase the scopes. Loyalty marks are not required.

You may also exchange your tether firework for your own side as well, by using PROMOFIREWORK EXCHANGE <firework>.
