31.3.9 Tal'viar Oasis

Tal'viar is the youngest of oases watering the Bonro region, though its location is a place possessed of grim, macabre history. Some centuries ago, the section of the desert that would become Tal'viar found itself in the throes of a revolution - an uprising of slaves known as the Aerok Rebellion. Having overthrown their masters and escaped from the eponymous Aerok Quarry, the slaves marched across the Bonro freeing other slaves in their path.

When the hundreds of escapees attempted to bypass Dramlai and find freedom and comfort in Delve, they were mercilessly hunted down and slaughtered by the soldiers of Dramlai Watch. The corpses of the dead were left to rot as feast for the carrion, and the blood of murder soaked the dry sands. As time passed and the sun bleached bone to dust, Tal'viar formed upon the site of the massacre. Few survived the uprising - most famous among those who managed to smuggle themselves to Delve was Danerran, the man who would eventually be claimed as a vessel for Damariel, the Unbound God.

In the modern day, Tal'viar is a quiet and sombre place, remembered for its bloody founding and celebrated for the life-giving waters it offers to travellers and thirsty passersby.
