4.9.18.3 Masit

Masit, a prominent tribe of the Nazedha islands, made its fortune on a long-standing venom monopoly, later selling its unique training at price. With a hand in the slave, drug, and fine goods trade, tribe Masit is well-known for its business savvy and the wealth of many of its people. Like tribe Urmoc, they live in the inner city of Nazedha, and have ever since their brutal massacre and conquer by Baelak's forces. It and Urmoc form the two tribes of the Empire.

The original people of the tribe were the Marsiki, who absorbed the Sumati and Erthokli through alliance and political marriage. Any of these three surnames commonly denote descent from Masit among Arqeshi and Nazetu.
