11.2.1 Bamathis, the Lost

Created by Varian after the horrors inflicted upon Sapience by the Albedi entity Jox, Bamathis' entire existence was devised with a singular purpose: to lead Varian's Children against the Albedi menace and ensure Sapience's survival against what was then perceived as an all-consuming threat.

While His devotion to duty was laudable and unwavering until the very end of the Creators' Monomachy, the majority of Bamathis's tenure as Sapience's Warlord was fraught with strife and internal conflict. Dissent reigned across the city states of Aetolia on whether even to acknowledge His purpose as a just one, and in some extreme cases extended to outright heresy against the Celestine and interdiction of Bamathian worship or adherence.

Following Varian's absconsion from Aetolia in the final hours of the Monomachy and, having witnessed the Eschaton's return to Its position as supreme Creator, the weight of His Siblings' betrayals - particular Severn and Damariel - have left Him a grief-stricken, broken God.

Though He yet retains dominion over the realm of Strife, the Lord's purpose going forward is a mystery, His thoughts lost to grief and introspection after the unravelling of all He once believed as true.
