Artisanal contest: Favourite NPC!

Calling all Aetolian artists!

After much discussion with staff and players, we are thrilled to announce the return of the Artisanal contest!

In recent years, the rise of AI-generated art led us to discontinue the contest due to not having a way to preserve the integrity and fairness of the competition. After much deliberation and consultation with Aetolia’s talented artist population, we’ve decided it is time to revive it!

To uphold the spirit of the competition, AI-generated works will NOT be permitted.

We will require 3-5 screenshots or photos of your in-progress artwork to be submitted alongside your final art. These progress images should clearly demonstrate your art’s development, including visible layers with your forming masterpiece. For our mobile artists, screenshots showing your layers with a thumbnail of your piece in progress is acceptable. You will find examples of these screenshots in the Aetolia Official Discord under announcements. (Examples provided by Pietre and Mikau)

For our artists showcasing their artistic talent on paper, progress pictures are recommended but not required.

For more details, HELP ARTISANALS contains useful information regarding the contest rules and submission guidelines.

Entries should be submitted via e-mail to support@aetolia.com with a clear subject line. Please include the name of your character when making a submission.

The closing date for submissions is 15th March 2026.

Limit: One entry per player registration.

The theme this year is: Favourite NPC!

1st place: 500 credits, 4 points
2nd place: 350 credits, 2 points
3rd place: 200 credits, 1 point

The points go towards the Artisanal Fellowship as outlined in the help file.

COPYRIGHT NOTICE:
All submitted works become the sole property of Iron Realms Entertainment, with all copyright assigned to Iron Realms Entertainment. This ensures that we remain free to display winning entries on our website and to showcase our community’s artwork via email, social media, and other promotional channels for current, returning, and future players to enjoy.

Special thanks to Orlayth for taking the lead on this and organising everything!
