A few Crafting notes! OH MY!

Hello, Aetolians!

Regarding a recent ruling made considering some race-specific capitalization, we would like to take a moment to reiterate those rules and expectations here.

– Races must be capitalized. Examples: Orc, Kelki, Dragon, Fae, et cetera.
– Subraces are lowercase. Examples: vampire, duamvi, soliad, undine, et cetera.
* Specifically, Fae is the capitalized race, with subraces being lowercase.
* Akkari is capitalized as a proper noun (a member of the Akkari Host).
* Consanguine is not capitalized unless at the beginning of a sentence as it is not a proper noun.
– Official demonyms can be found in HELP DEMONYMS.

A few other notes of interest:
– HELP IMPORTANT CRAFTING RULINGS has seen an update and is easier to parse now. For the crafters amongst you, it would be an excellent idea to review it for any new rulings.
– When crafting with alloys, please remember you MUST include all of the alloy components. For example, if you’re making a black gold band, while a gold bar is the initial component, you must still include a gold bar and elemental ashes to account for your alloy. This can be found under ‘Commodity Rulings’ in HELP IMPORTANT CRAFTING RULINGS.
– Weapons are not meant to be referenced outside of their exclusion identities. For example, while ‘a massive halberd’ (design 5134) has the identities ‘halberd’ and ‘polearm’, it MUST use ‘halberd’ as the primary noun throughout the appearance, dropped, and examined – it cannot use polearm. You can, however, use polearm to interact with it in your inventory, such as when wielding.

If you create designs and have not yet joined the craft guild, you may JOIN CRAFT GUILD to do so. This will give you access to the CRAFTS news section where I, your absolute most favourite Gnome, post crafting changes and important ruling decisions.

As always, your feedback is welcome! Please email Emellan at emellan@aetolia.com with any concerns or questions about these rulings. They look forward to hearing from you!!
