Celesmas Festivities!

Written by: Oceania Ohmsford
Date: Wednesday, December 18th, 2002
Addressed to: Everyone

The Order of Mischief will be hosting Celesmas festivities in the
upcoming months. We anticipate this being a fun and exciting event for
all, however, a few things are required. First off, participation; as
you will notice in the schedule below, many of the events to take place
involve the arena. Use of the arena comes at a cost of 3000gp per event,
therefore entry fees are required to cover costs and to go towards prize
money. Any event without enough players to cover basic fees and prize
money will be canceled. Secondly, more prizes will be needed. Any sort
of prize you wish to donate will be appreciated. Any donations,
monetary, credits, or other items, may be given to me or Lady Khepri. If
you are willing to volunteer to help with the events, please contact me
as soon as possible.

Three contests will be ongoing throughout the following months.

Contest #1: A mask design costume - Those interested in participating
should design a mask. These should be unique and original, as well as
IC. These will be judged and the three best submissions selected.
Winning entries will be approved as patterns and the item provided for
sale and display. All entries should be messaged or mailed to me in the
following format:
APPEARANCE <the item's seen name>
DROPPED <the item's appearance when on the floor>
EXAMINED <the item's appearance when examined>

All submissions not in the above format will be excluded from the
contest. This contest is open to everyone. Even those with their own
tailoring license should submit the design to myself, though they may go
ahead and be placed on a clothing sketch. Final submission date:
December 22nd, 00:00GMT.

Contest #2: A play writing contest - Those interested in participating
are required to write a relatively short play (5 - 10 minutes when
performed) and submit it in a letter to myself. These will be submitted
for judging and a winner selected. The author of the winning play should
be prepared to perform the play, including having their own cast
assembled. We will make every effort to have any other arrangements
deemed necessary provided. Final submission date: December 23rd,
00:00GMT

Contest #3: Celesmas Superlatives: The following categories are open for
voting. You may select one male and one female for each with the
exception of the couple vote. Votes should be mailed, in a letter, to
the person indicated for that category. Winners will be announced on the
last day of festivities. All votes should be submitted by December 24th,
00:00GMT
