Hello and thank you for taking your time reading this. I hope it
enlightens some of you, entertains some of you. Ladela :).

A man once taught me what it is to be 'sitting on the fence'. Later,
another man taught me what it is to be 'dancing on the fence.' The
question here is /being/ on the fence.. It is both, but never dancing
and sitting at the same time. Logic.

There were once three men. Argo was a man that believed in 'good' and
'walking in the light'. The other, Orion, didn't believe in that sort of
thing, thought 'walking in the light' was a bunch of nonsense. Both of
these men had the tendancy however, to be illogical and arrogant about
things, they had the tendancy to bend truth to their will sometimes.
These two men lived near each other, with a fence in between them. This
fence was a head taller than both of them, with a few knotholes in the
panels. The fence stretched miles across.

They always fought one another, both of them, day in day out, trying to
convince the other to climb over the fence onto his own side.

"Come over and see it my way then!" one of them would say.

Every now and again one of them would be curious and peek through one of
the knotholes in the fence, but it was always something like, "No, I
/don't/ see it your way! And quite frankly, the way you see things is
stupid!" They never stopped fighting.

The third man was named Arbitross that lived atop this fence. He tried
as hard as he could not to, but always ended up getting in the middle of
the two's fights. Arbitross had a different point of view than Orion and
Argo, and felt that being on the fence was right where he should be. He
was able to graps things more than the other two. He was able to
understand more, but it also caused him to be very confused sometimes,
wrong sometimes, but he didn't care.

"I just want PEACE for gods sake!" he'd cry. But they still wouldn't
cease.

One day Arbitross and Orion were having a chat.

"Ah," said Arbitross, "I do indeed agree with you on that, my good man!"

Argo became curious. "Arbitross! Arbitross! What are you two talking
about?"

What Arbitross explained to Argo infuriated him. "My gods man! Have you
gone completely mad?!!"

No, no, just let me expla-

"I can't believe this!" he interrupted, "I know what's happening! You
both are in cahoots! You're both against me!" he yelled, running around
madly, flapping his arms in blind panic.

"Argo," began Arbitross, "I agreed with him on this one thing. When I
agree with one of you, you think I am taking sides, but I'm not. When
you disagree with each other, you aren't happy, and even when you agree,
you still arent happy! I try my hardest to find the truth and logic in
things when both of you are trying to be /right/ about things, even when
you're wrong, even when it's truth staring at you in the face, you still
try to make your way look right. You both call me stupid and laugh at me
when I am wrong sometimes, but it's how I learn, its how we all learn.
I'd rather learn by being wrong than worry about pride and humiliating
myself in front of others."

The End, sorta.

Dancing on the Fence,
