Public News Post #542

Hmm

Addressed to: Emperor Abhorash Nehekhara

So basically, what you are saying is that the blood isn't really
sullied, but there are individuals (many individuals) among the
Consanguine who don't strike your fancy, so you will simply throw away
all the Blood, all our history, all our pride, all our accomplishments,
ideals, and loyalties, write us off as the scumdogs of Aetolia, and
start over again with a House that will magically be idiot-free just
because it is you who started it (again)?

When Kauller took over Bloodloch, I and many others rose against her in
protest, leaving our home to defy the false Empress. We have waited for
an Empire to be reborn, for Consanguine Blood to heal. And you suggest
to do this by insulting us, by saying all our loyalty and patience, our
willingness to recognize a leader who so obviously does not give a
beetle's leg what happens to us, was for nothing?

You would have the proud Blood serve for ten years as the lowest Thrall,
return to our base beginnings, take great sacrifices - for no other
reason than your whim?

In Blood, you remain the true Emperor. If you remember your duties - for
power breeds responsibility, something you, the true ruler, nor Kauller,
the imposter, never learned - to lead, I and my House will offer our
allegiance to you. But I will never accept the rule of one who seeks to
solve problems by exterminating what he sees as a failed experiment.
Because I will never believe that the true, the loyal, the steadfast
blood is a failed experiment.

It is my belief that House Nehekhara will fail, as have so many new
Houses. It is in the original Blood, in the legacies of old, in the
wisdom, the teachings and traditions of true Consanguine that the answer
lies.

You yourself put a beginning to this greatness. An element of it has
gone astray, and turned foul. But it is merely an element, not the
whole. Do not reject the true Blood you yourself created. Doing so is
folly, for you will find yourself alone. No people will be ruled by one
who judges them as scum. No true Consanguine can even conceive of the
idea.

Grand Duchess Silmarillion Bahir'an,
of the Old Blood.

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Midsummer, in the year 75 MA.
