As we all know, Ashtan has undergone major changes. From a cleansing of
the citizens, a change in leadership, and a clean slate for all previous
enemies. Yet you still seek a purpose, or as you phrased it "what does
Ashtan stand for?".
A purpose, or identity is not something one can just decide a city will
stand for. An identity is defined over time, through actions, alliances,
conflicts, and democratic positionings. Your request, at least at this
time, seems unreasonable, but pehaps Lord Arslen has a purpose in mind
that he will be willing to share with the rest of us.
