Despair and Darkness

Firstly, Alaron.
I will not deny that, yes, Aren's leave does sadden me, it does despair
me. However, that despair and sorrow is easily and quickly vanquished by
the faith I have that he will return again to greet me each wake once
more. In this, I do not allow my despair to thrive and, as a flower that
was not granted water, it wilts away by my own will. Faith is the
strength of the Light.
Those who know their innermost desires, yet fight them, show the
strength to prevail. The weak will succumb to what they feel is
inevitable, while the confident and the strong will stand for an
eternity to fight it and never tire.
And, in Cohen's example, it is simply as so:
When we are all born into this world, we are mortals. We can feel the
warmth of the world around us, the chill of winter, the cherished touch
of a loved one. We can see the sun and be seen by her without risk of
our own safety. It is not the Light who judges, it is us who choose to
shirk the Light from our souls and be singed by its very touch.
Remain in the Light, realm.
Penned by my hand on the 4th of Haernos, in the year 138 MA.
