Lady Niuri,
I am not Your Mot Neno but I serve as though I were and will do my best
to continue on this path.
For those that serve You valiantly, as if it were the truest nature come
to them, I speak to them ... you brave the words consistently, cowering
to your personal corners of belief, barking like dogs, about how your
service to Lady Niuri is based on whether She proves Herself evil, good
or neutral to us. Who are we to judge who She is? Who are we to say She
is good? Who are we to say She is evil? Let me clarify the answer to
that. We are not privy to call on Her of evil deeds nor of good and
neutral deeds.
Have you mistaken the path you follow? Of Enlightenment? Of Mystery?
She has not abandoned us. She has paved the path for us to decide
amongst ourselves if our calling to Mystery is and will go beyond the
mortal beliefs of good, evil and neutrality - to look to each of our
brothers and sisters and know that, with a sense of selflessness, we
ultimately exist to serve Her. I can only pray that you see this before
it is too late.
This is not a question of whether She is good or evil. She is Mystery.
Mystery simply is. I will quote the scroll in which Lady Niuri's ideals
are described in:
When one travels far, relentlessly searching for answers, one inevitably
encounters the inexplicable. This glimpse of the unfathomable creates in
him a guilty awe that makes him believe as though he was almost not
meant to witness something so great. This awe, the mortal reaction to
the source of mystery, is the essence of Niuri. She exists in all
possibilities, in all things that have potential, and in all individuals
who may one day become great.
The pursuit of knowledge that ultimately leads to revelation is the
realm of Niuri. Scholarship is valued highly, and experimentation and
philosophy are also prized. Such activities are not simply the key to
enlightenment, however. Instead, they are tools that are used to aid
oneself in the exploration of one's inner wisdom. The mysteries of the
world can be accessed when one stretches the boundaries of both inner
thought and outer knowledge. The path to these mysteries cannot be
circumvented, and the answers to these mysteries cannot be revealed by
simple discourse. Those who have yet to embark upon the path should be
led to it, but not along it. The journey that is learning is as
important as the destination of enlightenment, as information gathered
while adventuring, speaking in passing with others, and even while in
battle are all relevant. Scholars should seek out all topics that
interest them, devour all knowledge accessible and make those subjects
their own.
This is the oath you must hold fast to when another dabbles in the
Mysterious unknown, whether seeking to destroy all other faiths you
might hold yourself to, or not. Whether the result of their discovery is
intentional or not. You are to be Enlightened. You are to see with the
unseen eye. You are to look beyond the beliefs of good and evil. You
must see the greater source of all searching - that which draws you to
serve Lady Niuri, Mystery.
This path is not an easy one, and yes, there will be times when the
question of your faith is tried. Open your minds, take in what you see,
what you hear, and know that the service to Mystery this search allows
is far beyond what we may ever understand and know that Lady Niuri is
proud to see the failures of trying and the successes She witnesses.
Lady Niuri, I know not where You may go but I know that You will still
watch over us and I can only hope that You return to us, knowing that
You will always have at least one faithful follower to Mystery and its
ceaseless existence.
May Mystery guide us all.
