I'm not sure how to start this, so I'll get to my point

I do not quite comprehend what you mean when you say things used to be
peaceful. I do not remember peace.
However, I do remember Aetolians murdering innocent children and people
for simply existing. And why were they killed? For that precious
experience you mentioned. They were Aetolians just like you, and I, and
everybody else is. They did not deserve to die.
I also recall hostility. By all. I was once threatened to be killed for
no reason at all. I wonder how many others were too.
Peace never existed. There always was violence just as there always will
be. I do not mean to be dismal, or unhopeful; but things need to
drastically change before true peace is ever achieved.
