Public News Post #1688

my apology.

Written by: Grand Master Ethau Siltasar
Date: Monday, February 2nd, 2004
Addressed to: Sayber Saer'ac, Varian's Quill

A while back, I let my anger cloud my judgement to the grade that I
dishonoured a good friend and a family. This post is my public apology
to this person and that family.

To the Saer'ac family and friends. I wronged by letting anger judge and
make me leave the family clan that I had been honoured to join. I did,
by that time, think I made the right choice by leaving. Yet, since then
a long time has passed. I have learned a lot, and I have grown. You
stand for everything I hold dear in the world. Perfection, honour and
strong family bonds. Keep that up.

To Sayber Saer'ac. I have grown to understand how badly I hurt you when
I decided to leave the Saer'ac. I know now that leaving has caused me
more pain that I could have ever imagined. Hurting a friend always
leaves a scar for both sides. This scar will last, perhaps forever.

I hope that my apology can be accepted by both you, Sayber, and by the
Saer'ac family.

Ethau Siltasar.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Midautumn, in the year 120 MA.
