Hunting Area Adjustments
After receiving feedback about a number of higher-end PvE areas that weren’t utilised as often by players, we’ve made some changes that should alleviate many of the pain points brought up.
This is the first set of changes, with our eyes still locked on a few other areas that may need a bit more time to get just right.
a Volcano:
 – Smoke elementals have had their chance to dodge attacks cut in half.
 – Smoke elementals have had their delay before shielding increased by 1.5 seconds, which allows them to be slain more consistently before the effect happens.
 – Fire elementals that explode on death now cause prone and burnt_skin instead of knockback.
 – Lava daemons will now become martyrs for each other less often.
 – Earth elementals will now create rubble 20% less often.
 – Earth elementals will be berserk less often when repopulating the area.
The Feral Caves:
 – We found a critical bug with the blobs when they split apart, which kept them at maximum strength regardless of splitting! They now appropriately split apart in size and strength.
 – Gigantic green blobs (max size) are now worth more experience.
 – Blobs split apart into more blobs than before to make up for the much lower strength.
 – When blobs split apart, there is a chance they will fly off into an adjacent room instead of staying in room. Note that they will still be aggressive towards whomever split them apart, but will be staggered in attacking.
Kkirrrr’shi Hive:
 – Feral Hokkali soldiers are no longer berserk by default, but will have a chance to become berserk upon reset. This is a separate chance from below.
 – Feral Hokkali soldiers are no longer martyrs who defend each other by default, but will have a chance to become martyrs upon reset. This is a separate chance from above.
 – Twisted Hokkali hunters are no longer berserk by default, but will have a chance to become berserk upon reset.
 – Twisted Hokkali hunters can no longer use one of their attacks through a magical shield.
 – Twisted Hokkali hunters and rabid Hokkali drones no longer give deep bleeding, instead giving rend and haemophilia.
 – Rabid Hokkali drones now respawn much faster as their God-Queen demands interlopers be kept out at all costs.
 – Rabid Hokkali drones are no longer martyrs, but they will attack slightly faster.
Tak-re:
 – Increased the count of woodpeckers, deer, and squirrels each by 15.
 – Some attacks of the above creatures have had basic pill or salve afflictions added.
 – The southeastern part of Tak-re now connects fully within the island’s map, and is no longer its own area or map.
A deep underground cavern:
 – Chaos-warped egg-laying spiders have had their strongest attack lowered in damage, but now do attack slightly faster.
 – Chaos-warped gargantuan carrier centipedes have had all of their attacks adjusted in power or lowered in damage.
 – The chance for Chaos-warped denizens to become berserk has been cut in half overall, which should lead to much less groups of angry mobiles clumbed together.
