City Riddles
The City Riddles contest will be starting on Sunday the 5th at 21:00 GMT and I wanted to share the details / rules as they’re a little different compared to previous years. I’ve also copied this info into the HELP RIDDLE CONTEST file.
Each riddle will describe a place where an event happened using public information (EVENTS posts) and information found in the room – that might be items, graffiti, room descriptions, or a combination of all three. All of the rooms are publicly available, and while the riddles are meant to be puzzled out, the answers are not hidden rooms or hard to access.
– Once the contest opens, each city will have two (2) hours to solve a total of ten (10) riddles.
– To begin receiving clues and solving riddles as a city, go to your city’s pylon and ask the NPC there for their tablet when the event starts.
* Bloodloch: Zik’tral
* Duiran: Beymak
* Enorian: Braytal
* Spinesreach: Rasiyah
– With the tablet in hand, [0;1;31mTOUCH[0m it to receive the first clue, which will lead you to a specific location.
– Your official time starts when you [0;1;31mTOUCH[0m the tablet the first time and get your first riddle.
– When you think you’ve found the right room, [0;1;31mPUSH[0m the tablet to lock in your answer.
– This is intended to be a 4-way competition – sharing answers between orgs isn’t allowed.
You will not receive any notice on whether or not you’ve chosen the correct room until we post the results with the answers. As you have a maximum of two hours, you are encouraged to use as much of this time as you need to be certain of your answers, with one caveat:
* [0;1;31mTiebreaks are decided by the fastest time to completion, plan accordingly[0m!
NOTE: Only one tablet exists per city; you’ll need to coordinate and communicate if you want to work together.
