Leurim (and anyone who shares this prejudice),
I really, really dislike Alastra. But... I take offense at your words to
her. Not because they were directed at her, but because they could have
been directed at anyone.
You do not know Alastra's background. How then, do you believe you have
the right to judge her grasp on Aetolian grammar and spelling? Perhaps
Alastra grew up in a poor or remote part of society, without anyone to
teach her to speak properly? Perhaps she comes from a community where
common Aetolian was not spoken much. I dont know her race, but she may
have spoken Rajamalan (or some such) for most of her life, leaving her
knowledge of common Aetolian to be somewhat lacking.
You don't know. So, by deriding her for her lack of knowledge, you show
racial and class prejudice - which I find to be inchoate.
