the City of Fire

Lucivar,
Undertand first, that I speak as an individual who has nothing but
intense dislike for all cities. Not as a member of any, or even as a
person who has a particular dislike or love for a particular one. That
one day all cities will crumble, is one of my greatest desires and
dreams. I do not desire the deaths of the citizens, however. But I
digress.

What business is it of yours that Shallam is slowly changing (if indeed
it is)? Who cares? Thanks to Severn, Lanos is probably gone forever, and
Rahn is their new Patron. Fire, not Truth. It is only natural that
Shallam will change, and become a mixture of Fire, with remnants of
Truth's teachings.

Why should you care? What business is it of yours?

Incidentally - Strung. If you're readin this, this is to you. You say
House Iscariote was formed to oppose Severn, yet that is not entirely
true. You declared the House to be in opposition to Haern, which seems
odd. You yourself know very well that Severn is Haern's biggest enemy,
yet you opposed both at the same time? Perhaps you would have been
better to do one at a time - then you may have succeeded at at least one
of them. I suggest your problem as a leader is nothing to do with what
you recriminated it to be, but instead a tendency to aim too high, aim
for too many targets at once. Had you not been opposing and hindering
Haern while your fought to save Lanos, it is possible the sword would
never have been broken. Think on that should you be convinced to lead
once again.

- Irruel

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Ios, in the year 92 MA.
