Since Elden isn't going to waste his time saying this, I will.
Calling the Consaguine a plague is not an insult, it's a fact. If you
take fact as insult, it would be your own choice to step back and see it
as truth, or rush forward with anger, and retort.
The Consaguine, are given abnormally exceptional capabilities due to
their original cult-like following. Abhorash chose only four mortals to
ascend to their vampiric state, on the whim that those four would choose
to embrace only the best. However, rogues and other such weaker members
of the cult have chosen to embrace for far less impressive reasons.
And because of this over-running, it has, in fact, become a plague. Not
a select group of exceptional individuals, or the best of the best, or
the smartest and most knowldegable (in the case of some Consaguine
houses, such as Voltaire, who have the belief of power through
knowledge), but a group of a few good immortals, and a bunch of lowly
things running around bragging about their "gift" and telling mortals
they're better than them because their blooded, when they couldn't beat
them in a fight, in a boasting contest, in a display of economic might,
or a popularity contest.
They're a plague now, plain and simple. It has nothing to do with
respect, it's just a fact. Take a step back, go up a cliff, and take a
look around. It's the way it is.
