Greetings Aetolia,
I will attempt to keep this post short, hopefully my analogies will be
able to get the message across.
Firstly, to my dear Priests guild, hopefully soon you will live up to
your potential but in the mean time, I would like to point you to HELP
LAWS PRIESTS. Thankfully they have not been altered to much in these
years. In those laws I point to laws 2, and 4. And to the rest of the
world I would like to point to rule 1. I still hold by these 5 rules,
even if other priests choose not to.
Rules 2 and 4 state the following... I post these incase they happen to
change sometime soon.
2. Respect : By our very nature, we have a link with the
divine and we are blessed with abilities from them. We must respect all
of Varian's creations. All have purpose, even if we do not know of it
ourselves. (I would venture to say that since something exits it is part
of Varian's creations or else he would see it fit not to exist)
4. Compassionion : Do not let anger cloud you judgement. Keep an open
mind, be compassionate, and do not be stingy when it comes to
forgiveness. No matter how hard we try, we eventually end up hurting
people, knowingly or otherwise. Give them to forgiveness we would expect
ourselves. (This is more directing to some specific members of the
priest guild, but I think it holds true when it comes to finding the
cure for vampirism)
Now in this vain, reading over some old posts about Vampirism and it
being a plaque or a gift, I must say that I don't know the inherent
nature of one given the status of vampiric, but we do know of
individuals actions. For some, it has become a curse, for others it has
become a gift. By the previous example of how vampirism is a plaque, the
same could be said about life itself. Its given over without permision,
we have no choice in taking it, and it can not be given back. However,
life as we know is a gift that we all hold on to, weather it be the
living life of a "mortal" or the undead life of those who bridge the gap
between life and death. However like all life giving forces, which have
the power over death it would seem that its possible to help one who
chooses to no longer live the life of the undead to be "cured" back to
the life of the living.
However I find it rather rude and unpriestly for one to call it a plaque
or to call those who live under its condition vermin. I would like to
point out however that the life of a vampire from mortal eyes appears to
be a needless escape of the "hardships" we encounter that allow us to
grow. But I'm sure being blooded has its own drawbacks, some more
obvious than others.
My orginizational skills are slightly lacking and so I refer you back to
the subject of my post to get a deeper and more full understanding at
what I'm writting at.
May kindness and the light of the good life bless you all,
