Folly

To Duiran:

At best, your actions are misguided and desperate. At worst, they are unspeakably arrogant and ignorant and may doom us all.

We may not lay claim to Sterion as a territory, but we have - and always have - been the guardians against the Shadow Plane, and your attempts to meddle into the rift that the Sterion minotaurs guard is, in no uncertain terms, our domain to act within.

Dendara is dying, and you are scared. You are blind, scared children with violent tempers, flailing about aimlessly in the hopes of hitting upon the solution to your problems with your fists. Beseeching the Helm, asking Spinesreach for help only to turn around and thumb your nose - which, by the way, was hardly the dramatic surprise you seem to think it was, and now attempting to toy with forces you've not even the slightest inkling of how to handle.

Put aside your arrogance and pride, and stop trying to mess with the Shadow Plane on your own. You've not even the first inkling of how to do so without being consumed, and in the process, letting the Shadow Mother gain a foothold in our Plane. You may quite literally doom us all as surely as if Dendara does fully die. You have NO idea what you're doing, so you're trying to desperately seize anything that looks like action, and never mind that you're biting off far more than you can chew.

Letting your bloodlust guide your actions may -feel- good, but it's not wise. A predator that lives a long life is one that is thoughtful and clever, not just ferocious. And now, you've woken the Lion.

To Enorian:

Your allies are self-admitted murderers and savages who massacre innocents indiscriminately if it suits their purposes. This isn't hearsay. This isn't spreading gossip. This is a fact that they not only openly embrace but loudly and publicly proclaim. They are an organization that prioritizes their thirst for blood and their precious trees over the lives of innocents who they perceive to stand in their way. Sounds a lot like Bloodloch.

Let's talk about that word you have all loved to bandy about in the past:

Complicity.

When you stand beside Duiran when they shout their intentions to murder children to make a point, you are complicit in that action. When you stand beside them as allies when they plot to quite literally tear down a city full of simple workers, children, and innocent bystanders, you are complicit. When you remain silent as they cull and murder the people of Sterion - right down to the slaves - you are complicit. After all, isn't that why you've always held Spinesreach accountable for the actions of Bloodloch?

It's not easy to take a stand against your allies, is it?

Penned by my hand on Tisday, the 10th of Chakros, in the year 503 MA.
