Dear Consanguine

As there is no communal posting facility for all members of our race, I
must apologise and instead use this 'public board'. I write this in the
hope that those interested will have the information to form there own
opinions. Mortals, you may disregard this post.

Having recently had what can only be described as an 'enlightening'
conversation with one particularly rude mortal by the name of 'Ysni', I
have been branded an enemy of the City of Ashtan. This in itself means
little, but I thought for courtesys sake I would post of the details. I
would not normally bother you all with such kinderspiel, but
unfortunately, 'Tremous', has made his accusations against my word
public, and as such I feel I should offer this as a form of rebuttal.

Having made good use of his information during the Declaration of
conflict between Ashtan and my own City, Bloodloch, I was dismayed to
find that despite his previous assistance he was now slandering the name
of certain members of the Consanguine wherever he travelled. Irked by
this, I took the trouble to inform Duke Macavity Nebre'seir , by way of
letter, as a courtesy from one Consanguine to another. It told him
plainly and simply of the actions of this 'Tremous' and I hoped that
would bring an end to his idiocy.

To my surprise, 'Ysni' contacted me, quite rudely, without introduction
or warning, and demanded 'evidence' to support my 'accusation'. Somewhat
disturbed, I informed her that I had no such evidence and could offer
none to the effect of proof. I also commented that I cared not, and was
simply providing a fellow Consanguine with information that he might
have found useful, knowing myself how tricky the game of politics can
be, hoping that he would deal with the problem 'Tremous' was creating in
his rudeness. I was certainly not 'accusing' him of anything. I know
what occured between us, and I stated as much to this 'Ysni', and that
if she was concerned, she may (and I quote) 'Consider the 'allegation'
withdrawn'.

As I said, I made no 'allegation', only reported fact. However I hoped
this would allow me to get back to my business and stop being bothered
by what I had hoped would be seen as a 'good deed'. I told her plainly
and simply that I was not interested in accusing anyone of anything.

Within seconds, I was politely informed that I had been branded an enemy
of the City of Ashtan 'For bringing false charges.' Also that I would be
notified of 'a fine'. A yet wonderful example of the sheer idiocy some
mortals can create. I am 'punished' for bringing 'charges' I 'withdrew'!

Apologies for my sesquipedaliacy.
