People of the Great City of Scholars,

long have you studied your annals and tomes for the knowledge of the
past. And where has it gotten you? So many nights reading the scrolls of
the ancients in your shadowy halls has dulled your sight, and you cannot
even see your neighbors moving against you.

The Light is the future. Have you not heard the prophecy? Do you not
know the Midnight Age is over, and that the Age of Enlightenment surges
forward? There is no purpose, no goal in your work. You gather the
temporal while those of the Light prepare for the eternal. It is
written, ''Should you look behind to Darkness instead of ahead to Dawn,
you will fail.''

The chosen people of Light know and can see our destination, shining in
the distance. We are united in this, children of the same covenant. Your
people are like feuding children, hiding your intentions from one
another, vying for power or influence. A zealot does not distrust a
knight, nor seek to overshadow his guild, for we each are empowered by
the strength of one another. ''Woe to anyone who befriends evil. True
friends do not seek to change one another therefore this way leads only
to corruption.''

Though you profess to be stewards of great knowledge, your actions and
your beliefs lead only to the obfuscation of the truth. The Divine you
worship act as you, manipulating and lying to you, asking you to do the
same to those around you. Like the priests of old, you have lost all
direction and can only grow stagnant. But also like the priests, you can
find new life in the promise of the Revelation.

In the words of the Maiden of Purity, ''One can not change what one is
without changing what one is.'' I plead with you, look into the Light.
If you are tired, you shall find rest. If you are alone, you shall find
friendship. If you are lost, you shall find your path. The Goddess of
Light so believes in us mortals that She has given every one of us a
link to Her, so that whosoever has Faith in the miracle of the Inner
Spark shall see the blessings of Dawn. None have stood in the shade too
long that they cannot step into the Light.

I leave you with the words of the Revelation: ''You must change or be
destroyed. Your novices are corrupt, your members are apathetic, and
your leaders have committed both sins. YOU are tired. I offer respite. I
offer the higher way. I will lay it out before your feet and take your
hand and show you how to walk it. You will be rested and ready to face a
new day's dawning.''

I pray that this reaches those who seek redemption, and offer my own
hand to those willing to walk the higher path.
