Dear Wylliam,
Your ability to 'recreate' the theft and your inability to defend my
earlier point proves to me that you have no defense for the arguement
that it could have been you or Euric. Tell me this; Would it be easier
for a guilded Syssin, someone who is unwelcome in Duiran, to rob a
Duiranite in Duiran? Or would it be easier for the person who withdrew
to keep the money? Or perhaps an unguilded Syssin with motives to cause
trouble and a need for gold, one who currently resides in your city and
is welcome to stand freely in the room with any Duiranite, could have
done a better job than the guilded one? That's something to think on.
Furthermore, you chose to enemy us to your city, and therefore the
forests. As a leader of Duiran, -you- are responsible for your actions,
and the actions of your city. Ignoring the fact that you have indeed, on
numerous occasions, attacked Spinesreach, and using the very logic you
attribute to Exodus, you are therefore responsible for the Duiranites
who did attack Spinesreach, and in essence, you have attacked
Spinesreach yourself.
Like it or not, you have committed an act of war. You have declared an
entire guild to be your organization's enemy, and that guild is strongly
allied to Spinesreach. You have begun a war, and we have offered you
many options to end it. Should you, or any other leader of Duiran, come
to your senses and be reasonable enough to discuss this matter with
myself or Exodus, we will be glad to. But until that time, I consider
you, your guild, your council, and those allied to you as aggressive,
and unwelcome by the Syssin, and therefore, unwelcome by Spinesreach.
