The theft

Dear Duiran,

Time and time again, the world has looked past your mockery of an
organization and allowed you to thrive, despite your inability to form a
complete analysis of a situation before diving face first into said
situation with nothing more than rumors and terribly concocted ideas
trailing behind you. Time and time again, we've turned our eyes past
your inability to form and adhere to agreed terms and contracts. We've
managed to ignore your burning desire for power, as you nip at the heels
of every major city, seeking nothing more than table scraps of support
so that people will leave you alone. The Syssin have chosen, in the
past, to ignore your hissy fits and move past the fact you seem to want
to play with the big kids and enemy every person who you think could
possibly be a threat, at any point in the future. I have personally
chosen not to press the matter of my original enemy status, despite the
fact that the accusations were false, and instead, in sympathy, waited
for my time to be up.

But now, your leader has turned you against the Syssin, because he knows
he cannot handle much more. And in the process, I can only imagine your
leader has managed to pocket a sizable amount of gold. Why would the
Syssin guild support a Syssin who stole your gold? Why would the Syssin
support this act, when we have -never- in our history been even slightly
in poverty? A war with you won't make us any more wealthy, or profit us
in any way. We have more than enough gold to scoff at whatever
meaningless amount was taken from you. Instead of thinking about these
things, your leader turns against an entire guild, attempting to drive
you forward so that you can finally be respected as a 'council', when
deep down inside we each know you are nothing more than five or six
bored Forestals, shivering in your pants at the mere thought of crossing
a city, leading a gaggle of little kids to their death. How is any of
this going to profit us? You pull us into a war, you enemy our guild,
and you the eyes of Sapience onto you. Your petty attempts at trying to
appear big and bad have not gone unnoticed. Do you Duiranites really
believe a Syssin of the guild did this? Or are you too scared to confess
to what you know in your heart to be true? It could have been the very
person accusing us of the crime. Or, even more likely, it could have
been someone who just recently joined your ranks.

Think about it. Euric returns from his deep slumber, after many years of
solitude, to find himself surrounded by guildmates who have no love of
the forests. He finds that his pleas to join Duiran are rejected, and
that all his old properties have decayed away. He leaves the Syssin, and
tries to turn the Magi against the Syssin, and Bloodloch against the
Syssin, in an attempt to keep us off of his tail. Then he join's Duiran,
and suddenly, Duiran gets robbed? Seems beyond sketchy to me.

Perhaps if you sat and thought a moment, you would realize, the culprit
could be behind your backs as we speak.
