Undeath

Recently, I've been treated to several diatribes, many both loud and
poorly scribed, about undeath and Enorian's stance on the matter.
It seems that the main argument against the Beacon of Light is that we
are "imposing" our views on the general populace because we are
"bigoted", "narrow-minded" and above all "hateful and vile". So I will
briefly attempt to explain, in philosophical terms, exactly why we seek
the eradication of the undead and of corruption.
The undead claim to be innocent of any wrongdoing, and therefore claim
to be victimized for making a personal choice. We must first then define
innocence. Innocence is a state of complete purity, and no matter how
much we may wish it, innocence is *not* relative. One is innocent if one
has not harmed a sentient being for the sake of his or her own personal
gain.
Using this definition, it is quite easy to see that the undead are not
innocent. They have sold their souls for the personal power this unholy
pact affords them. In essence, they have betrayed their closest
friend-themselves. And if they are willing to sell their own souls for
personal power, then we can reasonably conclude that it is only a matter
of time before their corruption of the very thing we seek to protect
spreads across the land, consuming everything like a cancer, until all
that we know and love is swept away.
To the Undead, I say only this: You have made your choice. If you are
willing to unmake it, we provide ample opportunity for you to sever all
ties to your corrupt organizations and wicked ways, and to embrace the
path of life. For the rest that choose the easy path, the path of power
for the sake of your very essence: you must have known this was coming.
The innocence of these realms will not be consumed without a fight.
