Public News Post #416

One more perspective

I'm sure everyone as missed my public griping, but have no fear, I've
decided to voice my opinion.

I'd like to thank the Infernals guild for giving me a good laugh. The
idea that the Infernal guild think they can dictate who uses the class
of the Infernals is definetely amusing to say the least. The skills of
the Infernal guild are not very unique. All three of the skills
associated with the Infernal class are shared by other classes. Do the
Occultists and Paladin guilds all owe you money?

I'm not posting because of my like or alliances with anyone involved. It
really doesn't matter to me except the fact that I'm just so disturbed
that the Infernals believe they have that power. I may be taking a stab
in the dark here but I have the feeling that the true objective of this
comes down to the skill of forging. Mersalis is a transed forger and has
assisted many with the skill. Yes, he buys the steel that the two knight
guilds are working to lower the price of. Too bad. Maybe I am wrong but
I can't see how a rogue possessing the class of an Infernals owe
anything to the guild beyond the fact that he may present competition
when it does come to the sale of forged items.

I really just want a simple answer. Don't tell me that its a policy,
tell me why its a policy. Why do you care if someone has the class and
isn't in your guild? Is your policy to keep those who truly hate the
guild there regardless or pay a 10k fine yearly? Or is it just to
further torment those who don't want anything to do with the guild? The
class is why the guild is a group, the class is the purpose but you do
not own the class. Its probably not even worth discussing as I feel
fairly certain you will be told very soon you do not have that power.
Guilds have been allowed to dictate how their skills are used for
profits, such as herbs, venoms, and so on but they have cannot dictate
who can have the class. Why does Mersalis owe you anything?

The self righteousness of the Infernal guild is well, laughable. Where
the notion that they own the rights to the Infernal class is beyond me.
My own class is nearly identical to that of the Infernals except for the
skill of Necromancy which is possesed by the Occultist guild. It comes
down to it, no one owes the guild anything, at any point after their
departure. In fact, this could almost be found similar to a certain
former leader of Bloodloch trying to control Necromancy. Not quite the
same but I definetely can see a similiarity.

And I'm going to go ahead and do a two and one deal and address another
issue. Simply, if Shallam does not want the violence in their city,
please advise your citizens not to tell me to suck their unmentionables,
then flee the fight into the city. The citizen brought it upon
themselves and your city and I even took the courtesy to remove them
from the city beforehand. Just a suggestion - if you don't want violence
in your city, inform your citizens not to run into it with an angry mob
on their tail.
