One

Written by: Lady Bu'ye Catharina Ve'kahi

Addressed to: Sapivi Professor Tetchta

I have so many thoughts on the matter I can hardly sort through them
but... a bit of insight has been revealed to me coming through the
wisdom of the first chosen childe of His Imperial Majesty, Emperor
Abhorash, and the teachings of the Great Underking. These revelations
are outlined in a lecture called "The Concept of One" and is located in
our library... the story of which is too long to outline here.

The theory that brings peace to my mind amongst the chaotic churning of
thought that your post conjured, is however, simple.

We, Are, One.

If I chose to continue to condemn you for your past, I would be no
better than the Imperial predecessors who I hold responsible for the
great rifts amongst our people. If I show and unwillingness to forgive,
then I am no better than those I seek to neuter. If I act as my brethren
in the Blood has, then I will remain unenlightened. This is counter to
the teachings of The One. Counter to the Philosophy of the House
Ve'kahi. Counter to the teachings of my Sire, and my Lord.

With this in mind, Corrupted One, I recognize your failures. I recognize
that you are not trustable with power, or control, but I also recognize
that you are One... You are One, with the Blood. The Blood is as an
ocean in which churns the power of the Undead, and we are all but
streams that feed from it. To deny you, is to deny myself. Only the
unenlightened and those lacking in the wisdom brought from the knowledge
of The One, would give in to the temptation to continue to bring you
harm.

House Ve'kahi seeks the enlightenment sought by the Ankyreans, the
enlightenment churning in the Blood, seeks a higher existence. House
Ve'kahi's doors are open to those who also seek this enlightenment. No
matter their past indescretions.

To you Tetchta, these doors will remain open if it is the will of my
Sire, the Padishah of House Ve'kahi.

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Lleian, in the year 185 MA.
