Ashtan and Her Hopes

Greetings,
First and foremost, I would like to extend Ashtan's welcome to any
of you who have been uncitizened, or otherwise displaced, by this
most recent war. Whether you become a citizen or not, our laws
will protect you from harm if you need to rest and take a break
from this hectic world.
War is an ugly creature. Lives are lost, economies are thrown into
disarray, families fight against each other- all for what? For
renegotiations of relatively unimportant sanctuary laws, to redraw
borders, and mostly for pride. The benefits of winning simply are
not worth the cost.
Ashtan agreed to capture Enorian's land when Cuchulainn gave us
permission. Those who I spoke to in the Northern Alliance, in my
city, and in my guild agreed that it would be a mistake to allow
Bloodloch and its current Minister of War to surround our territory
so completely. Moreso, it is a mistake to allow either of the two
southern nations complete dominance of all the territory that would
have been captured.
I abhor the thought of war. I have been a part of one and I hope
that is the only firsthand experience I have with it. But at the
same time, I will not wait patiently at the risk of losing my
city's liberty.
I propose that the city leader's meet to come to terms to end this
conflict over land. I hope, through the agreement of some level-
headed minds, we will be able to reestablish some Order to the
world.
For Ashtan,
