The Ban

Ok, I'd like to state from the beginning that my views in no way, shape,
or form reflect the views of my guild. They're my very own and should
only be attributed to me. With that said, here I go.
First off, to the one of Jaeharn's points, about a complete ban being
impossible, I agree. There are ways to get around the ban. And you are
more than able to use them. But you cannot expect that fact to stop the
Druids and Sentinels from imposing a ban at all. While the guilds may
not be able to completely stem to flow, we can stop it to a large
degree. And wherever there are leaks, you can bet one of us will be
there to plug it up the best we can. I may still be in my
Apprenticeships, but I have learned that my fellow guildmates are
nothing if not dilligent.
Secondly, as to punishing everyone for the misdeeds of a few, well
unfortunately that is the way it almost always works. If you feel
unfairly punished, convinced your peers to stop the misbehavior. It's as
simple as that. Or prove yourself to be a friend of nature to someone
who can vouch for you. We aren't so pigheaded that we won't listen to
proof of innocence, though for some time we may be hard to convince. I
doubt any of us want to be responsible for opening the flow of supplies
to the enemies.
Now, I tend to agree that things have gone too far in all this. I am not
one who rejoices in bloodshed and death. And perhaps this ban will limit
people's willingness to fight without thinking. When death is all the
more real, violence seems to appear as less of an answer. But false
peace is not the way. The extention of the ban to three months after the
end of the fighting seems to be one way to insure that. But I have no
doubt that should peace start up again there would be no hesitation in
putting the ban back in full force. So please, I implore you, make peace
and make it as final as you can. I loathe to see any further uneeded
loss of life. Despite that, if my guild calls me to fight, fight I will.
And while I may be young and relatively weak, you'll find that us Sents
fight hard.
I am no wordsmith, so I apologize if my words seem flat or poorly
crafted. But they are what I believe. I have one final point to make,
and then I promise I'll stop. Please, if you have any intention of
attacking Margali, don't. She is simply voicing the combined views of
two guilds, and if you have a problem with her message, it's a problem
with all of us.
Thank you for your time
Sabine, Apprentice Ranger
