The closing of Castle Saer'ac

The bullies of Enorian have now closed Castle Saer'ac, the first private
residence built there. The gates that, in times of peace, we have kept
open to all of Enorian are closed. The gates we willingly locked during
times of war have been magically sealed under rather suspicious
circumstances. In fact, it has been declared to be treason for any of my
family to even be seen in their home.
I was not warned about this, nor consulted. But I have in my hands a
copy of a message sent to the citizens of Enorian. I present parts of it
here as a beautiful example of the tendency of fascists to want to cover
their lack of respect for natural law with a thin layer of pseudo
official verbiage.
"As per the duties outlined by my position as the Minister of Security
for Enorian, I am hereby declaring the Castle Saerac off-limits for
everyone. There will be no exceptions except in the possible cases of
City Officials needing access to the Castle for investigations and/or
other matters that may arise."
Note that these duties are not spelled out. Also note the delicious
menace in the phrase "investigations and/or other matters". This
unsubtle threat reminds the citizens of Enorian that the Chief Thug and
his minions may decide to one day put YOU in a dark cellar and ask you a
few pointed questions if you try and defend this outrage against the
Saer'ac. I particularly love the implication that access to my private
home is something Enorian freely grants itself whether I will or nay.
So, where must my family go?
"If I should see anyone within the Castle until I have given further
notice, they will be met under the fullest extent of the law possible. I
will not be lenient, I will not be nice. Luckily, it is not my job to
be. If any of you see someone within the Castle, immediately ask them if
they need help getting out in some fashion and alert the city at once."
Im not sure what the phrase "met under the law" means, but Id like to
draw your attention to the fact that no specific law is quoted, unless
it is the law that says that anyone who can get away with something
should. Note also the patronising and paternalistic tone in "I will not
be lenient, I will not be nice". And the joyful relish in the use of
power that is revealed in "luckily, it is not my job to be." And no, I
do not need help getting out of my private home. I do wish to point out,
however, that the courtyard is open and one may fly over the walls. So
anyone wishing to visit me during my imprisonment may still do so.
"I cannot stress enough that there will be no exceptions. There are very
few officials exempt of this statement, and do not make the mistake of
feeling you are above the law. In the case that someone is seen within
the castle boundaries, there are possible grounds for treason if they
are citizens of Enorian, and much worse punishments if they are not. I
am not playing games, people, so please make sure you let everyone you
can know about this."
I won't continue pointing out to you, the careful reader, the contempt
that this missive reveals towards the citizens of Enorian. I do ask you
to consider where it leaves the Saer'ac, the rightful residents of the
castle. When rule of law and respect for private property are abolished,
as has happened here, what do we usually call that form of government? I
am glad, however, that Enorian has abandoned it's pretence and has
revealed itself for what it is - A private club for intolerant bullies.
