The Consanguine and Mortals

I've never to my knowledge wasted the gold to write an article in this
particular forum, and I do so now only because of sheer boredom.
Mortalkind trying to claim that the Consanguine are just as mortal as
they are or that the Consanguine aren't really immortal grows tiresome.

1) The Blood and Immortality - The Blooded are most certainly not
immortal in the sense that Lord Varian and those he created as Gods
beside and below him are immortal. We are immortal in the sense that we
do not die, as mortalkind knows death. We are forced out of our
corporeal forms until we can regenerate them. Mortals still die and go
before the Under King's mirror if they are not ressurected by another
means. Even if your 'death' is not permenant it still took place. It
never does for us.
2) At one time we were mortal, yes. The Embrace, however, changes us in
many ways. There are obvious physical changes and there are deeper, far
more subtle, psychological changes which take place. As you so degrade
the Embrace, yes we all did originate from 'a bite on the neck.'

Yes, we do have drives that are similar to those of mortals. I don't
believe that anyone has tried to deny that fact. Most of the time we are
able to look past those drives, as they do not rule us as they rule you,
and do what is best for the whole of the Consanguine instead of
ourselves alone. A coup is also generally a fairly common form of
political takeover. They happen because of a need for that level of
extreme force, and power generally does change hands afterwords. Not
everyone is going to be pleased about it.

3) All in one family... It's quite true, you know. Regardless of what
disputes we may have with eachother we are related, by Blood in one
fashion or another. We all descend from Belladona, down the line to the
youngest Vampire and so on. Consanguine exsistence is not entirely like
mortal exsistence, do not try to apply mortal reasoning to matters in a
realm of which you cannot enter and have never seen from the "other
side."

(*) This had absolutely nothing to do with Aerdan's latest article,
simply a clarification of a few things. I could care less for the recent
arguement, as what happened in the past is past. It is to be learned
from and time progresses forward, even for the Consanguine.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Lanosian, in the year 68 MA.
