I know the dream well. It has haunted my nights for years, driven sleep
from me and denied me the peace that should come with age. Some
historians will tell you that it is a memory of the time that the
Mistress of Corruption held my Lord Rahn in captivity, and that he was
later freed.
Yet some say She holds Him still...
Some dare whisper that He languishes in Her foul embrace to this very
day and that vile automata and shadowy simulacra have been sent forth in
His image to blind and distract His followers and lead them from the
true path.
But those who speak this truth are branded heretics and have sought
hiding. They have fled once bright Enorian where the glare of sanctity
blinds all to their own filth. Not even in the University dare they
speak this truth. Even in the hallowed halls of learning lurk those who
would use knowledge as a shroud.
