On behalf of the Benandanti of Duiran, we would like our laws known to
the world, and thus they are posting here, to be a matter of public
record. Should an alteration, addition or removal of a law occur, we
will post it here.

HARVESTING LIMITATIONS
----------------------
When harvesting perennial plants, the minimum amount that may be
harvested to is 5. Perennials are - Ginseng, Echinacea (also known as
Purple Coneflower), Kuzu, Ginger, Lobelia, Skullcap, Valerian,
Goldenseal, Lady's Slipper, Bloodroot, Moss, Kelp, Cohosh, Bellwort and
Weed.

When harvesting annuals, the minimum amount that may be harvested to is
2. Annuals are - Kola, Elm, Myrrh, Ash, Sileris, Pear, Hawthorn, and
Bayberry

PENALTIES
---------

FIRST OFFENCE : A base fine of 1000 gp plus the market value of the
overharvested herbs will be fined. For example if I harvest to 0 kola
I will be fined the market value of 2 kola plus 1000gp. Note if the
fine weren't paid within a year, I would be enemied until it is paid.

SECOND OFFENCE : A base fine of 1000 gp plus the market value of half
the room's normal produce of that particular plant. A period of 6 months
of being enemied from Duiran will be put in place. At the end of this 6
months, a person will only be removed from enemy status if they have
paid their fine, if they haven't they will remain enemied until they do
so. The full 6 months must be served. For example if I overharvest
kola again within a two years of the first offence, I will be fined for
the market value of 25 kola.

THIRD OFFENCE : A base fine of 5000 gp plus double the full rooms value
of the herb you overharvested. A period of 12 months on enemy status
will be served. At the end of this 12 months, a person will only be
removed from enemy status if they have paid their fine, if they haven't
they will remain enemied until they do so. The full 12 months must be
served. As an example, if I overharvested kola again within a year of
the second offence I would be charged the market value of 100 kola.

Note, it is considered a second/third/fourth offence only if it occurs
within two years of the last offence. Also, the term of overharvesting
refers to two or more rooms being overharvested by the same person
within the same area. Tt does not matter what plant was overharvested,
if two overharvests occurs within two years of any plant the person will
be fined.


All fines are to be paid into the account of the Lady Slyphe.

EXTERMINATIONS

The use of Necromancy to harm Nature is a foul practice. Any necromancer
who exterminates a natural location will be fined 5000 gold sovereigns
per room, and will be enemied from Duiran until they pay their fine, and
then 6 months after it is paid.
