wood...or lack thereof

Okay. I'm not sure that y'all fully understand how this works, and
there's been lots of complaints (most of 'em from me), so here we go.

The way supply and demand works is thus: If there are 200 pieces of wood
at, say, Thera, and someone runs and snaps 'em all up for 35 gold each,
then when the woodcutter brings the next supply, they'll raise the
price.

If, on the other hand, those 200 pieces of wood just kinda sit there
waiting to be bought, the price will go down until it's so low that
someone decides to buy it.

Now, what we have is a "Wood Shortage". This means that there's very
little wood, and what little there is is ALWAYS bought out right away.
This drastically raises the price.

THIS IS _NOT_ A GOOD THING!!!

What I propose is this: For the next seven Aetolian months, do NOT buy
wood commodities from anyone except other players. That should
accomplish two things: 1) drive down the prices just a wee bit, and 2)
let the commodity stores get a reasonable amount of wood in stock, so
that more than one person gets to have some.

Yes, I'm fully aware that some of you depend on wood for your day-to-day
life, and believe me, the short-term lack of insta-cash that you get
will be more than offset by the long-term gains...but only if everyone
cooperates in this.

Thanks for your time,

Kit Storm
