Arborthia

Earlier in the month the town of Arborthia, and also the city of Ashtan
were beset by what are believed to have been spawn of the vampire
Zsarachnor who broke free of his control. Many of the citizens of
Arborthia set out to warn Ashtan of the coming peril, from all accounts
at significant loss of life on their part (and no small journey,
either).
I was personally touched by the genuine kindness and courage shown by
the people of this fledging township, and I know that the people of
Ashtan shall long be grateful for this act of selfless friendship. That
they ventured to travel from their now-safe haven across many leagues at
great peril to warn us is an act that cannot possibly be rewarded with
enough friendship in return.
During the course of the next few days, an offer of treatise was
proposed to Drakken and Illpalazzo (Ashtanite representatives present)
by the Mayor of Arborthia. At the time, no member of Ashtan's council
was present to confirm or deny the offer, but I, as the elected Overseer
have been informed of the details, and must wholeheartedly agree to any
such treaty.
I visited Arborthia in person to see Mayor Mullswick with my
well-wishes, but he was absent on some errand and I could not discern a
clear time at which he was intending to return. As such, I am writing
this missive for both his benefit and the benefit of all the peoples of
Sapience.
The Council of Ashtan, as the voice and representative of its people,
welcome the friendship of the Arborithians, and endeavour to assist them
in any future problems they may encounter, of civil, martial, political
or any other nature. We offer the services of our skilled laborers,
engineers, architects and foremen as a sign of our good will (and a good
avenue for them to practice for our own impending reconstructions).
We also welcome the Citizens of Arborthia to trade within our walls
freely, and visit our city not just as travellers but as friends and
honored guests. Indeed, my own doors are open to Mayor Mullswick and his
own at any time they should wish.
We have many spoils to share and there are no finer people in Sapience
to share them with than the our good friends, and hopefully henceforth
Allies, the Arborthians.
I hope the rest of spring brings fruitful and positive growth for the
town.
Sincerely, Overseer Daelar, on behalf of Ashtan and its' people.
