Once again, I don't have time to address all the points in your post, so
I will have to point out a few. The first one being about following
orders from the Guilds of Light, etc. Note how you said, in specific,
"... will obey an order from someone higher in rank than them ..." What
this means is that they are given the choice. Do I want to follow the
order and reap the consequences of that action, or do I not want to
follow the order and reap the consequences of that one?
No matter how many arguments arise about "my sire is my friend, my sire
is a great teacher", it doesn't take away the fact that they can simply
up and force you to do something without any choice. You can't defend
against it, you can't even say "I don't want to right now." They say
"jump", and you say "how high." You could, of course, kill them if they
did something you did not like, but only after they'd done something
like this. When you are not given a choice to do something and it is
forced upon you, whether unwillingly or willingly, or you potentially
can have that choice taken away, you no longer have agency.
Lastly, in reference to what you said about not forcing a cure upon
others, I don't think you need to worry. The nature of any cure or any
theory for a cure, in essence, means that you must be willing in mind
and spirit. If the cure is discovered and forced on anyone, I rather
highly doubt that it'll have any affect on that being. This last little
bit were just my thoughts, not any kind of Divine statement, but how I
perceive things to be. Hopefully that will clear a little bit up at
least.
