Smoke and Mirrors

Ok, I'm confused on a number of points. Maybe those in the know can
enlighten us all.

Firstly to the Black Hand Gang. What is *really* unacceptable to you
about the Vampire class? You target rogues but accept the Houses, the
Imperium and the authority of Bloodloch because you have publicly
declared that vampires under their protection are safe from your
cleansing. So you have no issues with Consanguine per se. Or is it that
you touch cloth at the very thought of taking on the Consanguine and
invoking the wrath of Bloodloch and the major Houses?

You report your attempted experiments in the hope of validating what is
really an attempt to justify open PK on those who have no protection
from you. Scientific experimentation is valid when it has an aim, a
method and a predicted outcome? What do you hope to achieve? What will
your cure entail to those unfortunate enough to be fooled into being
your guinea pigs?

The 'Gift' is not a small change. Your whole body gives over to the
blood. Your heart, lungs, vital organs change All your powers come from
the blood. The blood will not let you die, it will mist you before your
physical form is crushed. How can this be reversible? If you succeed,
will your victim be fully restored to mortal form? If the blood gives up
the fight, will it allow all of the vital organs to regenerate? Surely
there will be a cost to constitution, health, mental attributes, who
knows what else?. If you have scholarly and divine knowledge of what you
pursue, you will have answers. If you do not then you are playing games.

Finally to the Consanguine. You stand by and watch as you are treated
like children at a kindergarten picnic. The Black Hand Gang take your
kind (rogues may be unclean, weak and a disease on the land, but they
differ from you only in their lack of a formal bloodline - no more),
butcher and slaughter them in the name of science and you do nothing
because they will not touch you in Bloodloch or in your House. If they
find a cure, the Consanguine will be crushed. People will become
embraced like they currently switch guilds. It will be the done thing to
hide in death awhile and change when the novelty wears off. You can't be
so nave as to think that it will strengthen the Imperium and remove the
weak and impure - You will reinforce your rules to select your thralls
and will stagnate, the rogues will embrace at will and grow in number.
The curse of the vampire will never ever disappear from this realm - the
Black Hand Gang will make the embrace a softer option for everyone.

For those who truly see the 'Gift' as a disease, the cure is a worthy
aim and if this is the Black Hand Gang's aim then they should be
applauded, moreso than for wholesale slaughter of innocents. But I
suspect packaging it up with the Illuminators is allowing them to hide
in the shadows they are creating. This whole subject is shrouded in
smoke and mirrors, or maybe no-one has really thought it through
