Your.. Vendetta?

Greetings Sapience.

For those of you who are interested in reading news posts, I urge you to
skip this unless you want to hear a lot of ranting at a young druid who
wasn't even alive during the time the Freedom Fighters were active.

Talanare, before you attempt to write a post, using someone's past posts
to make them look stupid, think about who actually cares. If you were
old enough to actually remember the time Spirokai exterminated Ulangi,
you would know that they were terrible times. I personally lived through
those times and on several occaisions tried to help my guild (the
Druids) to stop his actions.

That, however, is not what I'm going to talk about. What I will say is
that Spirokai did give Duiran lots of time to think about his demands.
During the Council's ponderings on his demands (something which I also
took part in) a Druid went and rejuvenated the land he, and others, had
exterminated. There is a reason for this: Druids have to rejuvenate
exterminated forest rooms, while noting down who had exterminated it.
Something I helped to do.

Spirokai had said previously, though, that any rejuvenation of Ulangi's
forests would lead to a direct attack on his part. Duiran knew this and
the Druids knew this.

Instead of taking out your personal vendetta on public grounds, tell
someone that cares. I've seen countless groves exterminated by people
more dastardly then Spirokai, definatly more evil and stupid then
Spirokai, and I've helped rejuvenate them.

I've lived through hundreds of forest fires, seen my grove burnt to the
ground on no less then 4 different occaisions and, do you want to know
something, Talanare? I stood up, and fixed it. I didn't sit there and
complain because I knew that change and renewal would bring my grove
back to life. Instead of ranting on a public news board, Talanare, try
and grow a back bone and learn to listen to what people say.

Spirokai believes what Spirokai believes. Just as Shallam believes what
Shallam believes and so on. There's no point in shouting out "Spirokai,
your extermination of the forest was wrong!" because a) he knows it and
b) he probably doesn't care. Unless Duiran has changed recently, more
then I think it has, in any case, I believe Spirokai has been an enemy
of the Council for almost 30, consecutive, years. That's longer then you
have been alive, Talanare.

From your post you are eager to prove that Spirokai is a moron, or maybe
that he's a bloodthirsty psychopath? I can't really tell, your thought
processess seem to be quite jumbled and, truthfully, I've met people who
are far more bloodthirsty then Spirokai is. When Ashtan asked for
Spirokai's and RL's help during the Second Ashtan-Bloodloch war, I have
to say that I worked with one of the most efficient leaders I have ever
met. Sometimes his tactical choices are quite distasteful, but I can
still say that he is one of the best wartime leaders. He knows what he
is doing, and he does it without caring what you, or anyone he fights
thinks.

Anyway, I'll conclude my post there with a simple addition: Don't jump
to conclusions about events that ended decades ago. Don't use events
that ended ago as proof of something today. If there is nothing else you
learn of the extensive teachings of Lady Slyphe, it is that change is
every where. People change and times change. The past isn't a good
indication of the present, so you shouldn't try and use the past to
prove a point about the present, especially not the distant past that
most people have undoubtedly forgotten.
