Greetings citizens of Aetolia,

Many of you barely remember me, some don't at all, and some I am glad to
be sharing new memories with you once again.

For the next few years, I will be organizing a grand debate the likes of
which Aetolia has not seen since the Age of the Ankyreans. Although I
have not picked an exact date just yet, I wish to grab people's
attention and get people signed up for the first
of these events.

Who is eligible to participate: One representative from each Order,
Guild, and City (including Duiran) is eligible to be a Speaker at the
debate. Since a variety of opinions is necessary, please do not pull
double duty!

What will it consist of: This will be a structured debate in which a
topic is presented beforehand and where the speakers will get a set
amount of time to argue their point. After their statement, the other
speakers will each get to ask questions.

What is the purpose: A more enlightened Aetolia is a better Aetolia. By
hearing all opinions, perhaps a level of understanding will be achieved
that will herald in a new Age of Enlightenment for mortals.

How to enter: If you wish to enter, ask your Order, Guild, or Clan if
they will nominate you. Then message me your name and what organization
you wish to represent. I will be checking all representatives with the
organization leader, so please ensure you
have their permission.

And finally, the topic for the first debate: Can an alignment be forced
on a God or Goddess? Can an inherently mortal trait such as good or evil
truly represent a Divinity?

You can expect this debate to take place sometime at the beginning of
next year.
