You 'New Plans'

Ashtan will not be considering any such talks with the Alliance unless
Ashtan's needs and desires are equally represented in such an agreement.

Claiming that the Alliance knows that it can not complete their previous
goals of destroying the lives and accomplishments of Ashan's people, and
then having the gall to demand that Ashtan submit to Alliance regulation
is simply ludacris. For Ashtan to grow, prosper, and change, all needs
must be addressed. You can not expect for a city to flourish by ignoring
its past. The past, present, and future must all be brought into
consideration.

Perhaps those who need to examine themselves the most are the members of
the Alliance themselves. Bloodloch, home of the malicious Infernals,
countless undead minions, and some of the most notorious people in the
history of our lands has allied with Shallam, the city of Light,
Justice, and 'good'. The once honorable Paladin guild used to hunt and
slay the Vampires of our land - now they embrace eachother in a common
goal: The attempt to kill that which had done nothing to either of them.
Be honest with us - would Shallam have declared this war had no one
else? Would Shallam have fought a fight in which they saw no way to win?
Would Shallam have had the faith in their own people to persevere?
Ashtan did. We took arms to a battle with only our love for Ashtan and
dedication to that love as our guide. We have come this far because we
believed in ourselves and in what we had done. We are at this point now
because of that faith, that dedication, that perseverence.

Will we give in to any Alliance ultimatums? No

Ashtan will not succomb to the will of a people with no passion. We will
not be slaves to a Goddess who we do not believe in. We are Ashtan; we
will stand our ground to whoever wishes to challenge us - be it one man,
one god, or the entirety of Sapience. We will not take back our home
because you let us, my dear friends of the Alliance; We will take back
our city because you can not stop us.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Severin, in the year 126 MA.
