war

Hello again

So far in this war as a causal observer I have seen the distruction of
the guards in Ashtan, not to mention a few spiked heads of random people
and a whole lot of shouts and posts (Such as this one) all pleeding
their cases for or against the war, yet nothing seems to be working out,
the Ashtan side has its leadership (Yet I don't hear from them or see
them within the realms), The apposing side is very vocal, very angry,
and very focused on their only goal which is to kill the city of
ashtan...

I've yet said something that isn't obvious to all of you allready,
though let me point out that since the war has begun who can say there
winning, and what sort of proof is this? Yes the forces of Bloodloch and
the allies have cleared the streets of Ashtan of her guards, yet Who
else was there to guard them? What possibly can there be left to fight?
The city itself? Have the torches been handed out yet?

In my observations I did travel to Ashtan and walked around the empty
streets, the forces of Bloodloch and the allies claimed harbor the
(Pardon me for not writing the horid things that were said).. Though I
did not see any of them.
I did see shopkeepers who were happy enought to take my money in
exchange for goods they offered.

The Axis of Allies determined to destroy, burn, and erradicate this
still breathing and bustling (Somewhat) City has not won. I've heard the
arguments stating that the city is allready dead, if that were the case
then Why hasn't all the shops left, Wouldn't the people who live in the
slums be the first ones to leave (Yet they still seem to strive).

Lets review for a couple seconds, Firstly the City is not dead, Although
the least can be said for the ruling council which has no presence in
the war or even in these running commentaries.

The City of Ashtan which lies on it's laurals while the forces advance
everyday seems to be doing something right, without guards, patrols,
City officals it seems to be doing Better than it has been doing for the
last few years. How so? well I for one have been visiting and speanding
my hard earned Gold there, which in turn thrives the economy, Is this a
bad thing?

So this is to say that One side of the war which is present (To my eyes)
just isn't doing enough while the other side does nothing. How can the
present side of the war (Which is still attacking) not claim victory
yet?

Yes I know there might be other forces I havn't seen or mentioned
fighting for their respective sides and that all my talk so far has been
rhetoric, but as I have remained as a neutral casual observer this is
what I have seen.

War never solved anything, Is the city of Hashan any better off now?
Till now now one has mentioned what will happen after Ashtan has fallen,
Will it remain in a shamble like Hashan where only scavengers and people
who seek to be alone go to? Will the forces of the Axis of Allies stay
there and rebuild the city to one that they can claim be a 'just'(in
their eyes) place?

And as my dear half-brother Daelar mentioned in a post earlyer Whats to
happen to this fighting force of Bloodloch and the other allies? Will
they continue on towards other cities as well? Will more and more
groups, clans, guilds, Gods eventually join in?

My dear people of Sapience, do you not hear the drum that beats a rythm
of deception? Have you been wronged by Ashtan? Do you not see the lambs
being led by this war?

Ever since I was a child I have learned alot from people, mainly you can
not trust everyone. You don't have to trust everything that everyone
tells you, if you do then you are a fool, but if you can look past what
people are saying and look towards the truth maybe, Maybe you will see
that the war is not moving this land OUT of the midnight age but DEEPER
within its firm cold grips.

Sure Ashtan may be a horid place with horid people, but have you been
forced to go into the city? Have you been forced to read their histories
and pay their taxes? Have they forced you to do anything let alone Hate
them?
Ashtan is not the only city where horid people live or used to live,
EVERY CITY will have its good and bad points to it.

If Daelar and a handfull of other people are right and the true
intentions of this war is to delve deeper in the blackness of this world
then let it be shown that a few people did see through the smokescreen.

So before you decide to jump on the ol' bandwagon of death and
destruction of the Axis of Allies remember where you leave your soul,
for it will be lost forever in a deeper part of the midnight age, the
future can be changed, Nothing (Fate) can be set in stone, there is
always a choice. Choose to stop the war and let the city of Ashtan sort
out it's problems.

In closing this post I wish both sides luck (Allthough only one side of
the war has made a presence) and that we all live by our own means, and
if our means change to fill our ways as we change then the original ways
will be lost forever. If the war continues and we all fall into the void
remember that the spike your impailed on was set with your own hands.
