The arguments presented

Even the Lord of Artifice can make mistakes at times, and it seems I
judged too harshly some of the comments made here on the post.

The Syssin gain the skill of Subterfuge because I have granted it to
THEM, and not to any other guild to teach. Much like the Elementals,
Rahn, Slyphe, and the Underking have granted to the Magi to harness
their realms for elementalism.

It is this reason, Misty, that you cannot find it within yourself to
learn these skills on your own. Limitations exist, and as much as I
would wish and wish and wish, I will never be Lanos. Nor shall mortals
pay any attention to your consistent blathering about your inabilities
to do things.

I have spent many years watching mortals from afar, and I must say they
amuse Me with this grandiose ideas of how the universe should be. Rarely
are they able to accept the Universe as it is.

Severn, Lord of Artifice

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Lleian, in the year 120 MA.
