The World.

First off I would like to say I may be wrong with some things, but Thats
what makes me mortal.

Of my many years of travel, mostly as an adventurer (unclassed) there
has been a number of mysterys that I could not find the answer, and so I
look up to You, our Divine Creater.

Let me start off by asking a question of a simple nature, Armor. Now
Armor is an object that's only purpose is to protect the wearer... And
It works fine, the problem is, that only certain people can wear armor.
The reason why a Monk or zealot can't wear (or would want to) full plate
armor is becuse the structure of their skills have defensive abilities
allready in them which if wearing armor would make them nearly
indistructable (exagerated of course), not to mention the armor would
slow down the progress of their movement considerably. The other classes
have simular restrictions on the power the armor can have in direct
relationship to their skills, YET, the unclassed who are the most
vulnerable are only allowed to wear simple leather armor (be it better
than nothing of course). What possible reason would justify an unclassed
person from wearing at least scale mail? The reason one would say is to
get that person into a guild, but is that a legitamite reason? If You
look around the vast world You will see hundreds of classed rogues, yet
they are allowed to wear armor (from being in a class), the reason
people leave a guild is becuse of reasons that they do not get along
with the people from that guild, So I fail to see the logic in making
people join a guild just so they can wear armor, and then quit. A rogue
is like an unclassed person but with skills. Basicly if an unclassed
person is allowed to wear stronger armor maybe the amount of rouges will
go down?
I have one reason why an unclassed person should be allowed to wear
armor among other things which I will spell out later on in my letter.
One unclassed person is allowed to learn weapons, complicated ones
infact, like a whip, a trident, so on and so forth. There is no requisit
for being "smart" to wield a weapon, so why should there be one for
wearing armor, Is there a skill for paladins called 'Armor wearing'? no.
If one is allowed to learn complicated things in survival (focus) then
just wearing armor is something a kabold could figure out. We do wear
clothing.

Now I will speak of knowledge and how it is aquired. Everyone knows that
in order to learn something you go to a teacher, Epicurus and Averroes
are the two main culprets that we learn from our novicehood to seek out.
These teachers are quite prolific in their studies and can teach of
subjects that range from math and philosophy, to cookie making and
beheading. Yet, they will not teach all to one person. Many times I
begged Averroes to teach me of illusions, and every time he has denied
me the opportunity. With such knowledge one should be happy to share all
knowledge to all interested. But lets move on, the Guilds (most of them
if not all) have teachers, and are used exclusivly by the guilds
themself and so I propose a question, If the guild teachers are to teach
the guild of guild skills What use are Averroes and Epicurus? They
become somewhat obsolette don't they? If everyone in a guild is using
their own teachers then Epicurus and Averroes should be free enough to
teach people of subjects they wish to be taught. I should be able to
learn about illusions just as much as I am allowed to learn about
tailoring, or woodcrafting, or jewelcrafting.. ext.. Why is there so
many restrictions on skills that happen to domain in a guild, there are
guilds that share skills freely, an Indorani doesn't Own all of
Necromancy becuse it shares that skill with the Infernal, and Cabalists.
The druids share with the sents and so on and so forth. If restricting
knowledge from unclassed or people wishing to learn more is the right
thing then why do the guild get to share knowledge?
Even unclassed people can gain skills, powers, without "learning" by
buying artifacts, so if it takes a indorani 90 lessons to learn shroud
(I may be wrong) One can "BUY" that skill without learning it on an
artifact. How is it that someone can know a skill just from touching an
object yet it takes someone else awile to actually learn. Wouldn't it be
easy just to offer all skills to all people?(At a cost of course).

These are just some things I wish to know, and hopefully let You know
that though the world is big beautyfull and perfect, there are small
details that make some wonder "How" or "Why". I know that You can
respond by saying "It is the way becuse I say so!" and that will be
sufficiant, but I am just hoping that as I know You are changing things
constantly that some things will not be overlooked. Thank You for Your
time

Respectfully
Misty the imp.
