Niuri and the Sentaari

Greetings again, inhabitants of Sapience.
Once again I add my post to the endless length already placed upon this
board. And once again, on the same subject.
To say any god is Good or Evil is the height of egotism, for can mortals
ever understand what is Good and what is Evil? Each god allows us to
join their order because they see something in us what interests Them.
And so it is with Patronage.
Ahel, for one, tries to dictate to us what is Good and Evil, and he is
pretty bold by saying a Divine is Evil when She says otherwise, I think.
He is no less bold for dictating the path Lanos once offered, since Lord
Lanos obviously isn't here at the moment to speak for himself. To say
truth exists solely in Good and that Lanos' path was solely Good is
naive and ignorant, for who can examine the intent of a Divine save the
Divine themselves? Lord Lanos was perhaps the closest soul that did
resemble Good, but it is not for us to determine.
I on the other hand will no longer discuss what is Good and what is
Evil, and likely none of the Sentaari will, because the monks are not
going to claim intelligence enough to fully understand these concepts.
All we can judge is what we personally think is good and evil, and since
this differs from person to person, there is little use in prolonged
discussions cluttering the newsboards.
Lady Niuri has been our Patron for some time now. All She has done is
inquired into our intention with the guild, where we wish to go. She
never made any suggestions I when not asked for. I have seen not one
hint of direction, which some people in Shallam are so afraid of.
Do I think Lady Niuri is evil? Is She good? I do not know. But does it
matter? She is a good Patron to the Sentaari, and the Sentaari have not
changed from where they were under the rule of Lady Lleis, when we were
accepted.
Perhaps this won't be good for Shallam. Perhaps it will. I know only
that I need to follow my own heart in this matter, and the will of the
guild. The guild has chosen, and it will not roll over and play dead
like a dog to its master. We will not give up our well thought over
choice simply because some people say we are wrong.
Think of Lady Niuri as you wish. So do the Sentaari. And the Sentaari
chose Her as our patron in the absence of Lady Lleis.
Lady Nuiri represents the path of Mystery, yes, and perhaps things that
are hidden are to be regarded with suspicion, merely for the fact that
they aren't apparent to us. However the Sentaari can only profit from
the wisdom Lady Nuiri shares with us, for whether she is Good, Evil, or
both, She has seen something of interest in us and if there is one thing
we will not discourage it is the potential our divine entity can
identify. If it is one thing the gods do not control, save Varian
perhaps, it is our destiny. Lady Nuiri cannot keep that from us, and the
Sentaari will seek our own way.
