Purpose

Some may be willing to live their little lives without any direction
other than wondering what party they will go to next. The Indorani are
not. Chakrasul may be the Matron, but what we have done under Her
guidance is hardly any different than what Rahn did for the Priests. He
made them into walking Lanterns, and yet none cursed Him for giving them
Purpose.
Rahn's lapdogs? Certainly. But it was respectable, willing to take
apathy by the balls and yank it into submission. Do they not say so?
"...the warriors of Light risen from the mire of apathy and corruption."
As the Luminaries took it upon themselves to "..stem the rising tide of
Darkness" they were a people of vision. Of "foresight, fortitude, and
faith." Their laws forbade them from even standing longer than necessary
in a room with those who wield Dark powers, to conduct their business
then politely leave as soon as possible. Yet now their illustrious
Guildmaster is among an organization where Light and Dark gallavant
freely together?
Do not have hate and anger for ones who have purpose, because you are
bored and have none. You who have nothing to live for, nothing to die
for, nothing to work for, and nothing to show for your (lack of) effort.
A vampire who speaks as though evil is a foreign concept? You are the
creations of wickedness, of powers beyond the scope of life and death.
How can you expect anyone to take you seriously, a vile being who sucks
the blood of living creatures and creates thoughtless minions from the
decaying husks of slain foes?
Kerian did not lead, he did nothing that a meager secretary should do.
He sat in position on GM and allowed the guild to slide further into
inactivity to the brink of destruction. Contrary to what you may
believe, wanting to make changes to skills and thinking that you can
make Varian notice you above all the other demands He recieves a leader
does not make.
I know I am to be reviled and attacked by some who would prefer to
remain lazy, who lack the vision and strength to wash away the old to
pave the way for the new. Mortality resists change with a vengeance, but
there are a few enlightened who know the need for purpose, who grow
tired of lack of activity or something to believe in.
Auvira, you can write amusing poems, but what do you do that makes your
life interesting, and makes the lives of those around you interesting?
What is your passion, what do you do in the days you are present here?
Spend time to become a Yeleni or Azudim, perhaps? One has achieved that
illustrious rank, I believe. OR was close to it. What happened to him,
the one so dedicated to advancing in experience, that he missed out on
the majority of what it means to -exist- here on Sapience? Where is he
now? Some goals are temporary, and some goals will last a lifetime.
You may think my goal is to simply stay in power. My goal is to make the
Indorani something worth belonging TO besides a society of social mavens
that use Necromancy and landmark every other year. First, no one likes
to landmark, so there goes that as a binding tie. Lack of beliefs leaves
a guild scattered. The Forestals have the forest to protect. Shallam has
Light and Rahn and great fireballs to worship.
Well, you get the picture, and if not, your eyes need a bit of
correcting. Be angry, blind, and stuck in ignorance. Be lazy and without
purpose, and one day, you, too will fade from the world. But the
Indorani will be here, when you are not. And no one will care about your
poetry.

A leader is one with vision. One like me, or like Sahmie, who with
Divine help attempted to make something out of the few worthwhile people
in the priests. She was fortunate, in that Rahn helped her completely
destroy the Priests to allow the Luminaries to rise in their place under
her guidance. We were not so fortunate to have such a clean slate, I
must make the slate clean myself.
