Forage for your food, and consume the offspring of the plants. A buck
will shed his horns upon a tree, stripping it of its life-saving bark.
All manner of destruction is necessary in the chain of life.

And you don't harvest down to the forestal minimums? It is the others
that do, I suppose. Where are your public, scathing remarks for them?
Where is the animal liberation front, to stomp out all herb harvesting?
Really, inaction is as bad as action, wouldn't you say?

Here's a question to test your loyalties... if the Elder Trees march
upon Ashtan next, what will you do? If you choose neutrality, you allow
both Ashtan and the Trees to become harmed. And you will use the "I
didn't hurt anyone" excuse. "Not me."

Any who fall for the "not me" excuses deserves to have a two-faced snake
in their midst. As for me, why am I involved? Chalk it up to attempting
to bring some actual thought to this world, where most are content to
live by their own rules, who pick and choose their fights when it is
convenient, and have no solid morals or values upon which they stand,
because that would take EFFORT.

It would be painful, for you to attack and slaughter a tree, would it
not? And so if they were to march on Ashtan, you would not take up arms,
saying "There are others who can defend the city with their lives, I
will order the Occultic Novitiates and Necromancers to attack. That way,
it's.... not me."

Stand for your beliefs, if you believe in the forest, then do not
support a city of stone. Work to reclaim all of nature, if, in fact,
inevitable. Speaking of inevitabilities, civilization is also
inevitable. Cities will continue to sprout through time, clearing away
nature. When is that... 'acceptable' and when is it not? Or, because
that is a future generation, it does not apply, because you can say now
that it's... 'not me'.
