Once again, hail!
To begin, I would like to state that arguments are not strengthened by
insults. If anything, they show weakness. With that said-and-done, I
would like to address your sole argument, corruption will spread to
Sapience and due to such... we, the people of Sapience, should unite. As
noble as this sounds, it is very unrealistic. Corruption, before this
ancient goddess was resurrected, existed and shall continue to exist.
However, it did not invade mortal cities in the open. Instead, it hid in
shadows and was instigated through the acts of an elite few. The Lady of
Corruption has indeed stated this, and I imagine thrives as she reforms
mortal corruption to her own version. As for many others lending a hand
(and sacrificing to no bounds, etc), I wonder. Many may have been
compelled out of fear and most likely will be compelled out of fear.
Sadly, if one can strike fear into the masses... they will typically
follow.
I would like to close by bringing to light a confrontation I had today.
An Ashtan official (who will remain nameless as I do not deal in
personal assaults), told me today that I was, "stupid" and that my views
were "ignorant." I found this quite amusing considering this official
used the name of Arion in his title (professing loyalty I might add).
After clearing up his concerns with my ignorance, I dared to ask him...
"Arion too has long been sealed from these lands. As a God that thrives
in valor (thriving perhaps in the valor of battle?) would it not be
logical to conclude him just as dangerous as the Lady of Corruption."
His response was maybe. I too agree. Furthermore, I wonder if Arion
would be pleased. Blind devotion is not very lasting... and quite absent
of valor.
One further issue I feel I need to address. I do -not- claim to hold the
Lady of Corruption close to my undead heart. I do, however, choose to
think and analyze before I devote.
